You know what – I'm living in a status quo world. Babes are status quo, politicians have maintained status quo, and I'm not growing a second organ despite my best efforts. During these status quo times I fall ill, and when I am sick I fish out my Medicare discount drug card and get my pills for free. Then I sit and analyze old songs about old age and put a spin on them. Here are my ramblings:

1. "When I'm Sixty-four" the song by the Beatles: Maybe the remaining Beatles can pop in some organ enlargement pills and rephrase the lyrics? Sixty-four would stand for the size, not the age.
2. "Teach Your Children Well" the number by CSNY: That should be reworked too, because nowadays children teach their parents well. Boy, and what a lesson they have taught us!
3. "Old and Wise" by The Alan Parsons Project: "And oh when I'm old and wise, 
   Bitter words mean little to me, Autumn winds will blow right through me" – Guys, I can never ever fool around with this song because truer words were never said.
4. "Against The Wind" by Bob Seger can be reworked and made to sound as if it was commenting on seniors' flatulence.
5. Remember "End of the Line" by The Traveling Wilburys? "Well it's all right, even if you're old and grey, Well it's all right, you still got something to say, Well it's all right, remember to live and let live, Well it's all right, the best you can do is forgive." Ahh, beautiful!
6. But the song about old age I love the most is by Jethro Tull – "Too old to rock and roll and too young to die" Oh yeah, baby, I love those words!
